About the Role:
Creative Palette in Lewis Center, OH is looking for a talented Production Artist / Pre-Press Technician to join our creative team! In this role, you'll play a critical part in bringing designs to life by preparing files for flawless print production. If you have a sharp eye for detail and a passion for print, we want to hear from you. We are only considering local candidates.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and preflight print-ready files for a variety of print production projects
- Perform color correction, image retouching, and color separation for offset and digital printing
- Ensure files meet press specifications including bleed, trim, resolution, and color profiles
- Collaborate with designers and press operators to resolve pre-press issues
- Manage file organization, archiving, and version control throughout the production workflow
- Proof and review print proofs to verify accuracy before press runs
- Operate and maintain RIP software and other pre-press production tools
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
- Experience with preflight software such as Acrobat Pro or Enfocus PitStop
- Strong understanding of CMYK color management, ICC profiles, and print production standards
- Knowledge of offset, digital, and wide-format printing processes
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet tight production deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- 1-3 years of experience in a production art or pre-press role preferred
